The Searcy Choir

Steeped in tradition, the Searcy Choir continues to carry on the Ministry of Music for which the church is so well known. The music is yesterday's and today's. Small in number but big in talent and enthusiasm the group makes a joyful noise unto the Lord, whether at Searcy Memorial on Sunday mornings, a revival in an area church, the Mt. Zion United Methodist Camp Meeting, or joining the eight other churches who participate in the "Fifth Sunday Night Singing."  The choir is led by Albert "Bones" Whatley, Choir Director, and Pianist, Pam Castillo, and sings a wide variety of musical selections throughout the year as well as presenting special music at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and in celebration of our country's freedom.

Do you love to sing? The Searcy Choir would welcome you with open arms.  You say, "But I don't think I have any talent and I don't read music!" Did you know that the majority of the people who sing in church choirs don't read music? Come and be a part of this dedicated, fun group! The practices on Sunday mornings at 8:45 am are filled with hard work, yes, but a lot of laughter, too, and they'd love  to have you join them!

The Searcy Choir continues, as in years past, to be a blessing to all who hear them; but, more importantly, the Word and Love of God continues to be proclaimed through their message in song.

WORSHIP WITH US ON SUNDAY MORNINGS AT 9:30 am AND EXPERIENCE HIS WORD, HIS LOVE AND HIS PRESENCE THROUGH SEARCY MEMORIAL'S MINISTRY OF MUSIC.

"LET THE WORD OF CHRIST DWELL IN YOU RICHLY AS YOU TEACH AND ADMONISH ONE ANOTHER WITH ALL WISDOM, AND AS YOU SING PSALMS, HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS WITH GRATITUDE IN YOUR HEARTS TO GOD".

Colossians 3:16
